Falling Forward Nail Art Challenge: Day 1 - Neons!

Hellurrrr everyone!

I've agreed to join in a nail art challenge with 12 other bloggers. The name of the challenge is Falling Forward and it is hosted by the lovely Kim from College Polished! This challenge is our little way of celebrating Summer ending and Fall beginning!

Today is the first day and the theme is NEONS!!! I've decided to go with a tape manicure. I haven't done very many and I figured this is a good way to better my nail art skills.

I applied two coats of Deborah Lippmann's Edge of Glory (black), I know I've said it before but it really is my favorite black ever! One of the tricks to tape manicures is to wait for your base to fully dry! It really is crucial, if you don't, the polish will lift right off along with the tape when you remove it.

This time, I tried using blue painters tape, which really works amazing! I cut the tape with scissors and applied.

For the neons I used my Color Club neon collection, unfortunately the bottles aren't labeled so I can't give you guys names. BOO!

Now, as you can see, I still need a bit more practice on this but I really do like the look of this manicure.
