Nail-Venturous FLOAM!

Hey everyone! The past couple of days have been really rough. Remember how I was sick a couple of weeks ago? Yeah well it never fully went away and yesterday it came back in full force! I had absolutely no voice and was in a lot of pain. I finally went to the doctor and got medicine so hopefully I'll finally start to feel better once and for all. Please continue to bear with me, I do really appreciate it.

For those of you who don't know, this week I will be starting a new weekly feature on my blog and Facebook page called Indie Spotlight. It is sort of a get to know you type of thing to learn a little bit more about Indie makers of all levels! I am so happy with the response I've had so far and can't wait to start sharing with you guys! The first post will be Thursday so stay tuned! Also, if you are an indie maker and want to be featured, email me at diy.polish@gmail.com

Anyway, today I have Nail-Venturous FLOAM!! I was lucky enough to snag this in a swap. I've had it for a while now but I am just now getting around to trying it.

FLOAM is a clear base jam packed with matte bright blue and neon yellow/green glitter.. that's right folks, MATTE GLITTER! It's not sparkly or shiny at all. It reached full coverage in about 3 coats.

Have you guys ever wanted something sooo bad then when you finally got it you were sort of ehh about it? Yeah, that's what happened with FLOAM. It is really pretty to look at but its so thick and gloopy and was sort of a pain to work with.

I do really love the look of this, I was just sort of disappointed with the application. Though, I might revisit this when I have more patience and I'm not sick.

I still have this on and I'm really dreading trying to take it off. I hope if I leave it on long enough that it'll flake off on its own haha

Have you tried FLOAM? What do you think?

  1. is it as much of a pain to take off as it seems to put on or does the tin foil wrap work to take it off? (I have not gotten any yet, was on the fence because I figured it may be a bit "goopy")

    1. I haven't taken it off yet. I'm really dreading it. I'm hoping the longer I leave it on, it'll flake off on its own. haha I'll update and let you know when I do though.
